Greeting
Minakuchi Shuzo was founded in 1895.
Since then, we have produced sake in Dogo.
We are the only brewery not only in Dogo, but also in Matsuyama and Ehime that has gone hand-in-hand with Dogo Onsen Honkan.
Our
main products include “Seishu Nikitatsu,” high-quality sake whose brand name is derived from “Port filled with benevolence and great joy,” “Dogo Kurazake,” branded local sake of Dogo, “Dogo Beer,” refreshment beer after your
bath, “Dogo Ale,” sparkling liquor that is based on Ehime-grown fruit juice, “Dogo Shochu,” which is made from Ehime-grown agricultural, forestry and fishery brand products, and “Dogo Cider,” refreshment cider after your bath.
Old and traditional, Minakuchi Shuzo had the main building doubling as a shop designated as a registered tangible cultural property (structure).
Built in 1917, the main building is a two-story wooden house that
creates a liberal Taisho era (from the late 1910s to the early 1920s) atmosphere with the exterior plastered and wainscoted and the second floor equipped with western round windows.
As a seven-times gold award winner (the
very best among the award winners) in the Annual Japan Sake Awards, we produce the “Dogo story” so that visitors from across the world will keep a good memory of Dogo in their heart.
We are recently engaging in the
production of cosmetics in addition to food, helping promote tourism to Dogo in many aspects.
We are happy if you enjoy seeing a pleasant Dogo, eating a delicious Dogo, and feeling a beautiful Dogo to your heart’s content.
